Physiology of Menopausehesis and metabolism, also known as intracrinology, appears to decline with aging independent of menopause. Women with endocrine pathologies may have distinct and less well understood menopause transitions. Changes in both ovarian and intracellular sex steroid levels can be associated with the possible symptoms of the menopause transition.
