Motivation, Opportunity and Rationality developed to find solutions quicker than the original formulation. Computational experiments are presented showing that the GRASP approach performs no worse than the other two approaches, finding solutions in a fraction of the time.

Algorithms for Finding Diameter-constrained Graphs with Maximum Algebraic Connectivitym, and an algorithm for finding the optimal solution is developed based on cutting plane and bisection methods. Computational results are presented to corroborate the performance of the proposed algorithm.
