Preparative Liquid-Chromatographic Methods in Drug Metabolism Studies isolated in quantities sufficient for full structure elucidation by spectroscopic and chemical methods. It can be applied to complex mixtures of metabolites of widely varying polarities. Since separation is done at low temperature, normally no stability problems arise. Recoveries can easily be checked if radioactively labelled drugs are used.

The Use of Long Capillary GC Columns for Urinary Phenolic Acids from Catecholamines and Analoguesof these columns and of their use in examining urinary constituents (human, rat) and in metabolic work with compounds related to catecholamines. When measuring previously unauthenticated compounds, identities must be confirmed by independent means because some of the numerous urinary constituents may interfere.

GC-MS was used to identify drug-derived urinary components that had been isolated by a range of chromatographic procedures. In the study of cloprostenol metabolism the high isotopic abundance of.C in radio-labelled cloprostenol allowed an unusual method of detecting metabolites.
