Numerical Implementation of Free Surface Flow Algorithmsof free surface problems where vorticity is negligibly small. Both methods are applicable to three dimensional flows. An axisymmetric version of the boundary integral method is also discussed. Special aspects of the algorithms associated with these methods are explained.

On Some New Aspects of Splashing Impact of Drop-Liquid Surface Interactionst after impact, was chosen as the classification criterion. The critical splash level has been found not to be a monotonically increasing function of the film thickness, which was however commonly expected in the literature.

Low Speed Drop Impact Onto Dry Solid Surfacesder to be able to identify the influencing parameters, changes of drop diameter, impact velocity, surface tension, viscosity, advancing and receding contact angles, roughness amplitude and wavelength have been made. The influences of these impact parameters on the various phases of the impact process has been investigated.

Splash Formation by Water Dropshis singular behaviour is surface tension driven. The numerical simulations of Morton were compared with photographs of dyed drops and confirmed that smaller vortex rings penetrating deep into the water bath are formed at Weber numbers much higher than 64.

The Effect of Drop Viscoelasticity on the Drainage of Newtonian Liquid Filmsetric observations and the results from a mathematical model is made. The model is based on the assumption of small deformation, and consists of lubrication approximations of the film flow and creeping flow for a Maxwell-type viscoelastic dispersed phase.
