Wolfgang Buck,Steffen Rudtsch Dr. Results for disturbance growth in Poiseuille flow and LES of turbulent channel flow indicate that the scheme is superior to the 6th-order . approximation proposed by Morinishi .. (1998). The extension to non-periodic boundary conditions is demonstrated for a spatially developing turbulent boundary layer.

Numerical Simulation of Turbulent Reacting Flow,in the streamwise direction is restored by means of a “fringe region”. Results are presented for two cases: A) a non-reactive scalar released from a line source and B) two reactive scalars released from two different line sources.
