Diffusion Tensor and Kurtosis and the Gaussian distribution model does not reflect the existence of a large number of compartments and nerve tracts in the central nervous system. Therefore, instead of a simple Gaussian distribution model, measurement of the probability distribution of a detailed water molecule is required. One

Intravoxel Incoherent Motion Imagingues, IVIM imaging noninvasively simultaneously measures both true molecular diffusion and capillary perfusion. IVIM imaging has been applied to a variety of diseases in the brain and head and neck, such as tumors and cerebrovascular diseases.
