https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-662-64593-2A healthy cornea generates about 70% of the total eye refractive power of about 60 diopters (Picero DP, Alcуn N in Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery 40(6), 2014). Consequently, variations in biomechanical and geometrical properties of cornea can intensely affect corneal refractive power and may interrupt the eye vision.
