Thomas Lenarz,Hans-Georg Boenninghausaration of river geometry using HEC-GeoRAS model. The flood hydrograph is derived from the synthetic unit hydrograph and probable maximum precipitation, and the PMP value obtained was about 157.3?cm. The total area of the basin was found to be 787 km. in which the inundated area was 274.279 km., which is about 35.851% of the total area.

No definite conclusions regarding change in areas could be reached for water and dry river bed but in general, the total stream flow area was observed to be decreasing. Thomas Lenarz,Hans-Georg Boenninghauss developed to model surface soil moisture using the dielectric constant and backscattering coefficients. The performance of the model was assessed using statistical indicators such as the coefficient of correlation, Nash–Sutcliffe efficiency, and root mean square error, which yielded results of 0.85, 1.46, and 0.75, respectively.
