The Possible Neurodevelopmental Significance of Structural Imaging Findings in Schizophreniaes were limited by several methodological weaknesses, however, including the questionable reliability of pneumoencephalography, inadequate or unspecified diagnostic criteria and procedures, and inadequate controls (Weinberger et al., 1983).
