Detection of Semtex Plastic Explosives, indirect contamination of surfaces by plastic explosives was studied and characterised. The marking of plastic explosives for detection is discussed. 2,3 dinitro-2,3 dimethylbutane is the most popular marking agent, which is broadly used. The detectability of this compound is not very good by some detectors.
