Variable Pitch Tube Layout Concept for Shell and Tube Heat Exchangerves from inner zone to outer periphery, heat transfer coefficient variation is reduced to 1.5:1 at any cross section of exchanger. The flow distribution has been studied using network analysis and is used to evaluate different configurations.

Dispersion Model for Divided-Flow Heat Exchangerperature profiles are derived for the 1-1 divided-flow heat exchanger. Measurements are carried out on a segmentally baffled 1-1 divided-flow heat exchanger with various clearances between segmental baffles and shell, in order to investigate the relationship between the dispersion factor and the flow pattern.
