描述Many real-time systems rely on static scheduling algorithms.This includes cyclic scheduling, rate monotonic scheduling and fixedschedules created by off-line scheduling techniques such as dynamicprogramming, heuristic search, and simulated annealing. However, formany real-time systems, static scheduling algorithms are quiterestrictive and inflexible. For example, highly automated agilemanufacturing, command, control and communications, and distributedreal-time multimedia applications all operate over long lifetimes andin highly non-deterministic environments. Dynamic real-time schedulingalgorithms are more appropriate for these systems and are used in suchsystems. Many of these algorithms are based on earliest deadline first(EDF) policies. Aperiodic Task Scheduling,ervice methods are presented, whose objective is to reduce the average response time of aperiodic requests without compromising the schedulability of hard periodic tasks. Periodic tasks are scheduled by the Earliest Deadline First (EDF) algorithm.
