Solitons in Biology and Possible Role of Bisolitons in High-Tc Superconductivity of wave functions of the extra electron and the resonance dipole-dipole interaction of amide-I vibrations of the neighboring peptide groups, ., explains the collective nature of the corresponding excitations. Quantized, these excitations have effective mass . = ?./2... and are called quasi-particles.

Dandison Ukpabi,Grace Dandison Ukpabi the Hamiltonian. The influence of the quantum number and of a prior excited lattice on this lifetime is shown. An important result is that the Davydov ansatz is exact for a classical lattice. For this case, the soliton is stable against quantum fluctuations.
