Isolation and Characterization of Genes Involved in Mammalian Excision Repair,red by damage in the template. The very recent discovery that the yeast repair gene RAD6 encodes a ubiquitin conjugating enzyme specific for histons 2A and 2B (Jentsch et al. 1987) and thought to be implicated in chromatin remodelling adds to the picture of tight interactions of repair events and chromatin structure and dynamics.
