Function of Autosomeso function as groups and also seem to be transferred as such from generation to generation. As mentioned in Chapter 1, the first one to recognize such gene complexes was Morgan (1910b). He called them linkage groups (1911). A linkage group is the association of certain genes that are located on the same chromosome.
