Microdiskectomy versus Endoscopic Diskectomy provide equivalent or superior results while minimizing perioperative morbidity and its resultant costs to insurers and to society as a whole. Although currently somewhat limited, endoscopic diskectomy may provide a superior alternative to conventional microdiskectomy.
