Analysis of Thermo-fluidic and Phase Change Behaviour of Liquid Steel in a Continuous Billet Casterredicted and observed solidified shell profile thickness. Such comparisons demonstrate a good agreement between the experiments and simulation. The effect of increasing the casting speed is critically studied, and results are discussed in detail.

Enhancement of Natural Convection Inside Vertical Tubes Using Internal Obstacles as Rings with Diffhickness of the rings are taken as .?=?4, 6, 8?mm. Distance between the rings inside the tube are taken as 80–300?mm. Ring spacing to diameter of the pipe lies between 1.6 and 6. Ring thickness to diameter of tube is taken within 0.08 to 0.16, and ring spacing to ring thickness lies within 20–75.
