Regenerator Performance Analysis,ansion sections. Gifford–McMahon and Solvay cycle refrigerators are valved cryocoolers, whereas Stirling, pulse tube, and Vuilleumier (pronounced Viamay) cycle refrigerators are nonvalved—or constant-volume—cryocoolers.
