Quantification of Trophoblast Syncytialization by Fluorescent Membrane Labelinga key for the in vitro studies. In this chapter, we describe a new method to quantify fusion index, which is based on fluorescent labeling of the plasma membrane using Di-8-ANEPPS, a membrane potential dye. This method directly works on live cells, thereby is simple, economic, and reliable.
