Obesity,ent are adopted from evidence-based recommendations made for nonobese patients [5, 6]. It is telling that among the eight questions posed for nutrition care of the obese critically ill patient in the ASPEN/SCCM guideline, all are answered by expert consensus (the lowest category of evidence) [5].
