Some New Aspects of the Nonlinear Characterization of Creep and Stress Relaxation of Polymersbased on experimental data, it is shown that the instantaneous response of the nonlinear polymeric material to the sudden loading step is always linear elastic. Finally, a way to reduce considerably the experimental efforts needed for the material characterization is shown.

Transient Creep in Rock Salt Structureented in [SWM87]. The presented theory is founded on basic physical mechanisms of dislocations and developed to equations describing dislocation multiplication and annihilation. From these a complete theory of transient creep in rock salt can be deduced which is compared with experimental results and shows very good agreement.
