,MC in Pediatric Ultrasound and in the Study of Vesicoureteral Reflux: “Cystosonography”,Ultrasound contrast agent introduced into the bladder is a viable alternative to radiological contrast in the evaluation of ureteral reflux and in the evaluation of the child. It can easily be used to identify the contrast that may flow back into the kidneys.

Conclusions,The use of CEUS is to be considered, in such applications as the evaluation of ischemic and traumatic lesions and the characterization of cystic lesions, as a level II exam even with the currently most-commonly used imaging techniques, such as CT and MRI; and according to some authors, CEUS presents an even higher diagnostic accuracy.

Another use is in cases of kidney transplants, in which software is now available to give a quantitative analysis that can define levels of parenchymal perfusion and determine the Intensity/Time curves.
