Contrast Material Reactors: Pathogenicity and Clinical Aspects in 1981ewhere, and my remarks will be confined to the pathogenesis of adverse reactions engendered solely by the ionic media. The situation with the injectable nonionic media has not yet been sufficiently crystallized, but all indications are that the incidence of systemic reactions will be considerably below those attributed to the ionic substances.

Comparison of Iopamidol, Ioxaglate, and Diatrizoate During Coronary Angiography in Dogsiopamidol, and sodium/meglumine ioxaglate were compared. In general it was found that iopamidol was the most benign, but the ioxaglate preparation used had a sodium concentration of 205 mEq/liter, which is considerably above physiological.
