Bewegung eines Massenpunktes im Raum,Some aspects of the energy in seismic waves are discussed, with special reference to the problem of estimating the total energy released in earthquakes. A calculation is presented connecting the energy of a large earthquake with the size of the region in which significant deviatoric strain has accumulated prior to the earthquake.

On the Problem of Crack Tip in Nonlocal Elasticity,In this article we present a brief account of our recent work. on the problem of stress distribution in a plate with crack under uniform tensile load at infinity perpendicular to the direction of crack. A fracture criterion is also given.
