Measurement of Roughness Parameters by Contact Surface Roughness Tester,Measurement of experimental samples produced by the AWJ technology was carried out using the contact method due to verification of the declared roughness of the produced samples and due to comparison of the values measured by contactless laser profilometer LPM with the values measured by contact roughness tester Mitutoyo SJ 400.

Measurement of Roughness Parameters by Contactless Laser Profilometer LPM,Using a contactless laser profilometer the surface of samples was measured in 190 steps with the step length of 0.11?μm on ten levels of the stepping interval with the step slide of 2?mm into the depth of surface material. The Gain mode (amplification of signal image in the camera) amounted to 1.

Conclusion,The publication deals with the research and development of a contactless system for measurement and evaluation of the selected feature of the machined surfaces. According to the existing structural solutions we designed and constructed the contactless laser profilometer intended for measurements and evaluation of surface roughness.
