Electrical and Physical Properties of Thin Films Containing Charged Microgel Polymers,poor abrasion resistance and tackiness at high temperatures and relative humidities. If soluble polyionomers are coated with a hydrophobic binder, tackiness at higher temperatures and humidities is still observed, indicative that the polyionomer still has a significant effect on the physical properties of the coating surface.

Highly Conducting Poly(p-Phenylene) Via Solid-State Polymerization of Oligomers,rm acceptor-doped metallic poly(p-phenylene). We have also observed that the donor dopant, potassium reacts with p-oligophenylenes to form highly conductive complexes, although in this case there is no evidence for increased chain length.

The Effect of Structural Variables on the Conductivity of Iodine Doped Polyacetylene,on the morphology. and electrical properties. of the materials have also been undertaken. Inherent in all of these investigations has been the underlying importance of gaining a thorough knowledge of the effect of polyacetylene microstructure on the properties of the doped polymer.

Conducting Complexes of a Processible Polymer: Poly(p-Phenylene Sulfide), interest was heightened by the discovery of two additional conducting polymer systems based on polypyrole. and poly(p-phenylene) [PPP].. However, none of these polymers is either melt or solution processible, an important consideration for the majority of potential commercial applications.
