Unsupervised Feature Selection for Salient Object Detection convex problem is achieved by maximizing the second smallest eigen value of the graph Laplacian via semi-definite programming. The enhanced image graph model, after the removal of irrelevant features, is shown to improve the salient object detection performance on a large image data base with annotated ‘ground truth’.

Online Learning for PLSA-Based Visual Recognition learning. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can handle sequentially arriving data that batch PLSA learning cannot cope with, and its performance is comparable with that of the batch PLSA learning on visual recognition.

In the latter, we show how the homography is optimally estimated by iteratively using the triangulation procedure.
