Application of the Boundary Element Method to Inelastic Fracture Mechanicsing problem is attributed to a lack of similitude, i.e., the damage process in the material ahead of the crack does not scale below a certain crack size. Those who argue this situation must seek a new measure that reduces to LEFM for the appropriate cases.

Boundary Element Analysis of MHD Equilibria of Toroidal Plasmas with Free Boundaries, which has been studied by many authors [1,2]. So far we have been studying MHD equilibria fixed boundary problems by using boundary element method (BEM) [3,4]. In this paper, we solve a free boundary problem for a model of a FRC device, and obtain converged solutions with an iteration method.
