Strukturpolitische Implikationen,We propose two algorithms to compute the number of real roots of zero-dimensional systems, using effective algebraic methods. To compare their behaviour on practical examples, we apply these methods to systems that describe some robotics problems (e.g. direct kinematic problem of parallel manipulators).

We first review the basic techniques developed in our earlier work germane to the current problem and explain how the problem we consider in this paper occurs.
