Laminar Flames,In . the reactants are perfectly mixed with the oxidizer before the start of the reaction. Contrary to premixed flames, in . the fuel and oxidizer are initially spatially separated and brought together through the molecular diffusion and the bulk convective motion to the region where mixing and subsequently the reaction take place.

Flame in a Gravitational Field,The Rayleigh-Taylor (RT) instability develops at the interface between a heavy and a light fluid when the fluid (gas) with a higher density is supported by the fluid with smaller density in a gravitational field. The RT instability is of great interest for many problems in physics, astrophysics, and technology.
