Hinge Angles for 3D Discrete Rotationsf-grid and the rotation plane. From this intersection, we define 3D hinge angles which determine a transit of a grid point from a voxel to its adjacent voxel during the rotation. Then, we give a method to sort all 3D hinge angles with integer computations. The study of 3D hinge angles allows us to design a 3D discrete rotation.

Surface Thinning in 3D Cubical Complexesprovide a thin result. Then, we propose two variants of a surface-preserving thinning scheme, based on this parallel directional thinning algorithm. Finally, we propose a methodology to produce filtered surface skeletons, based on the above thinning methods and the recently introduced discrete .-medial axis.

In this paper, we present a new 2-dimensional sequential thinning algorithm, which produces the same result for arbitrary visiting orders and it is capable of extracting maximally thinned skeletons.
