Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy,Colposcopy plays a crucial role in the diagnosis of persistence or recurrence of intraepithelial neoplasia. As the appearance of the cervix changes significantly after surgical treatment of dysplasia, this presents an additional challenge for colposcopy.

International Nomenclature of Colposcopy,The colposcopic nomenclature was last updated in 2011/2012 by the International Federation of Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy (IFCPC). This system is used to describe and classify findings of the cervix as well as of the vagina and vulva.
