Tong Ruan,Xu Dong,Haofen Wang,Yang LiFollowing brain injury there is an acute phase during which the brain undergoes reorganization and changes that permit it to recover from the initial effects of the injury. Most brain injuries lead to cognitive disruption but some or all of the functioning returns to normal by the end of the acute phase of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI).
