A Role of Sleep in Forming Predictive Codessolidation, and the pivotal role of sleep in these processes. We will then argue that these findings might be best understood in the context of recent Bayesian theories of brain function, and we will show how this perspective helps generate new hypotheses concerning the mechanisms of memory consolidation during sleep.
