Reproducing Auditory Nerve Temporal Patterns with Sharply Resonant Filtersical fibers. In some cases as many as 10 separate fiber populations may be stimulated simultaneously, each with a different intensity. This spectral-to-spatial mapping is motivated by the compelling spatial organization of the cochlea itself.
