In Sect. 3.6 some significant examples of application of the ORC technology are presented and Sect. 3.7 is dedicated to a discussion of the use of multicomponent working fluids in Rankine cycles.

The variation of the critical point can in fact be a helpful additional parameter available for the design of closed cycles which are discussed in the following chapters.
