Electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy,nments. It is able to provide information on materials in both liquid and solid phases. The technique is extremely sensitive and under favourable circumstances the detection limit for paramagnetic centres can be as low as 10.–10. spins/g, i.e. well below 1 part per billion (Wertz and Bolton, 1986).
