Developments in Research on Testing Chinese as a Second Languaged assessment as the popularity of the language grows. It is also hoped to make scholars of CSL testing aware of the research limitations so that more high-quality research, especially original research on issues that specifically pertain to Chinese testing, could be conducted in the future.

Diagnostic Assessment of L2 Chinese Learners’ Reading Comprehension Abilityl analyses. The results showed that 90.54% of the examinees were successfully classified into one of the pre-specified attribute mastery patterns, based on which we were able to offer detailed diagnostic reports to individual examinees regarding their mastery/non-mastery of the attributes.
