Cancer Stem Cells: Concepts, Challenges, and Opportunities for Cancer Therapyle and facilitate the rational design of CSC-specific therapeutics that would, ideally, have high selectivity for cancer cells, eliminate tumor bulk, and prevent tumor recurrence. Addressing these issues would form some of the key challenges of the CSC research field in the coming years.
