[.] and Lo and Lin [.] revealed significant changes to the secondary flow in the duct, near a moving wall; the Reynolds numbers considered were, however, quite high (.), hence the flow characteristics close to transition were not documented.

Turbulent Duct Flows with Polymer Additives, at minute concentrations [.]. This phenomenon has prompted a large number of studies see e.g. [.,.,.], yet it has never been possible to relate the degree of drag reduction (DR) to a measurable fluid property.
