OP-Management: praktisch und effizientLong-term potentiation (LTP) can be defined as a semipermanent increase in synaptic efficacy that can be induced by tetanic stimulation of afferents. The cellular mechanisms underlying LTP are still unclear. Both presynaptic (Dolphin .., 1982; Lynch .., 1985) and postsynaptic (Lynch and Baudry, 1984) changes correlated with LTP have been reported.
