Methodological Guide for Studying Epithelial Transport with Isolated Membrane Vesiclester, cellular components usually have to be purified to homogeneity before studies on the properties of the component can be initiated. Thus studies on isolated membranes can focus either on questions related to cellular physiology, on questions related to the molecular properties of membrane components, or on both.
