MDA Standards for Ontology Developmentsteoarthritis of the ankle and may relieve pain and improve function in talar OCD which is localized articular damage. Treatment with hyperbaric oxygenation may reduce bone marrow edema in patients with talar OCD. However, more research is needed to evaluate these modes of treatment and their efficacy.

Lift, Drill, Fill and Fix (LDFF): A Cartilage Preservation Technique in Osteochondral Talar Defectseatment option for primary talar OCDs with very good short-term results. Although the short-term clinical and radiological results are encouraging, more patients and longer follow-up are needed to draw any firm conclusions and determine if the results stand the test of time.
