Difficulties of harvesting, preservation and surgical technique have been largely overcome. Cryopreservation seems to represent a distinct advance in preservation.

We put it in a nutrient medium at 4 °C for 11 days, and afterwards the graft was cryopreserved and stored for 208 days. Postoperatively, the recipient developed aortic regurgitation due to sagging of the non-coronary leaflet.
