Urinary Pyrophosphate in Disorders of Bone Metabolismd that pyrophosphate played an important role in bone formation and remodeling processes. The present study was undertaken to investigate urinary pyrophosphate excretion in patients with diseases characterized by accelerated rates of bone turnover.
