The last step is to make sure the focused beam is aligned central to the nozzle and to set the cutting gas pressure and the cutting speed for the particular laser power-workpiece combination.

A large proportion of work produced on the subject of laser processing is published as part of the proceedings of the conferences which have multiplied over the past few years. Most of these conferences publish their proceedings as a single volume and these are generally useful compendiums of the publications of a number of workers.
