Different diversity combining techniques in an uplink and downlink channel; single and multi-user detection strategies; and an interference cancellation method have been considered. The performance of the system has been evaluated by simulations.

In this communication, an illustrative introduction to the area of Turbo-Codes shall be given with particular focus on mobile radio applications.
