Jens Krause,Richard James,Darren P. CroftSince the corpus luteum (CL) is a transitory endocrine gland, a progesterone (P) provider, when gestation does not occur, it should disappear. It means that luteotrophic agents stop acting. The promoter molecules are to be replaced by lytic agents, to cause luteal regression. Many events are illustrated.
