Butterfly Optimization Algorithm,rocess of butterflies. BOA has a very basic structure with few parameters. BOA is capable of performing global as well as local search during the process. This chapter presents the basic concepts of Optimization theory and detailed overview of BOA.

Based on the statistical result comparisons with the existing methods, it is analyzed that the proposed method has an optimal performance when compared to the state of art algorithms.

,Differential Butterfly Optimization Algorithm—A Hybrid Variant,urrent-to-best/1 mutation strategy of Differential Evolution (DE) optimization algorithm with a concept of bidirectional search. The proposed modified algorithm is termed as Differential Butterfly Optimization Algorithm (DBOA). This chapter also presents the complexity of the DBOA and the constraint handling process.
