Parameterizations of the Convective Boundary Layer in Atmospheric Models,an ensemble-mean turbulence model. There exist many PBL parameterization schemes. Based on a survey Wyngaard and Moeng performed in 1990 (Taylor and Wyngaard [24]), we found these PBL schemes can be categorized into six generic types:
